The clock shimmied by
As I tried to finish
The test called ILearn.
Time started to diminish
As I tried to churn
Through the test called ILearn.
Time was almost out
As I struggled to complete
The test called ILearn.
I’m done, I’m through, What a marvelous feat!
I have done well
On the test called ILearn.
My Chickens
I throw on my boots,
Lumber out the garage door
Grab the egg-basket
Run to my dinosaurs
From the pen comes a squabble
“Be patient, girls!” I cry
I throw old food to them
And watch them eat, horrified
I slip in the pen,
mouse-tiptoe to the coop
The food sustains them now,
But I sense my dino-doom
I open the nesting box,
They pounce to save their eggs
Thirteen pointy spears,
All aimed at my legs!
With eggs in hand,
I run out of the pen
Those terrifying dinos
Are actually my chickens!
